If the Aerophone Mini can be hooked up to my DAW that's a big plus. I like the complexity of the EWI, but feel like I'm not ready for it yet.Currently considering getting an Aerophone Mini to learn, and as soon as I master that, getting an EWI USB (or something more expensive). Being able to hook the windsynth up with MIDI just seems like a ton of fun. I am really torn, because I am an absolute beginner on wind instruments and I love the ease of learning with the Aerophone, but I also really love creating sounds with Serum in my DAW.

And are there maybe any features I haven't mentioned yet that make you prefer one device over the other?.

Can the aerophone mini be hooked up to a DAW (I use Reaper on Windows) with a simple bluetooth usb dongle? Or are there MIDI interfaces that can receive Bluetooth LE MIDI? Or can the usb cable of the mini be used for this as well?.

Has Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 MIDI connectivity for connecting to the app, but hooking it up to a DAW is not something Roland or any reviewer talks about.

Is made simple for beginners but has enough features to be enjoyable for professional wind players (except pitch bending and vibrato).Has an included app for easy learning (I assume both iOS and Android).Is quite complex, fingering imitates analog instruments more closely than the Aerophone mini.Is made purely as a controller to hook up to a synth or DAW, yet needs a third party program for configuration beyond the basic setup (not sure if this is a problem or not, but seems far from ideal).Now for my impressions of the non-musical pros and cons: A function key that allows for changing the tone, volume, and breath sensitivity, and for transposing and reverb.
